Where the numbers come from

How we classify a licence

The Trust Score

Every venue carries a Trust Score out of 100. It is not a star rating and not a customer review — this site runs no review programme, and Google's own structured-data rules require a rating to reflect real user opinions, not an editorial score. Publishing one anyway would be exactly the kind of unsourced claim this page exists to rule out. The Trust Score is a disclosed formula over data already on the page, computed the same way for every venue:

How the 100 points are assigned
ComponentPointsBasis
Regulation scope0–40The strongest permission the venue holds — full investment licence scores highest, an AML-only registration scores lowest, nothing on record scores zero.
Incident record0–30Zero documented incidents scores full marks; each additional incident on record lowers it.
Data verified0–15The share of this venue's own fee and regulation fields checked directly against a primary source, not a secondary one.
Cost vs peers0–15Published fee ranked against other venues of the same kind — cheapest scores highest, relative to the range actually on this site.

Commission

We earn commission on some venues, and each is labelled on its own page. Commission does not change an ordering: tables sort on the published number. When a paying venue has the worse figure or the worse record, that is what appears.

What we have not verified yet

Every published figure has been checked against its primary source.
