Frequently asked questions
Which crypto exchange has the lowest fees?
On published spot taker fees, Binance is lowest at 0.1%. The headline is only part of the cost — deposit rails, withdrawal fees and spread can reverse the ranking for small trades.
Are crypto exchanges regulated?
Rarely in the way people assume. Most hold anti-money-laundering registrations, not investment licences. A registration means the firm reports suspicious activity; it does not mean a regulator vets the product or that your balance is protected.
What happens to my coins if an exchange fails?
In most jurisdictions you become an unsecured creditor and may recover little. That is the argument for withdrawing to a wallet you control rather than leaving a balance on any venue.
We earn a commission on some links. It never changes the ranking — our method is published and the data is sourced.
Crypto is volatile and largely unregulated. CFDs are leveraged and most retail accounts lose money. Never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
